CONFIGURATION StepFive
ThissectionwilltakeyouthroughthekeystepsinthesetupandconfigurationoftheEchoSwitch®:
1) Selecttheunitsforconfiguration.
a. Determinethemeasurementunitsthatwillbeusedtoconfigurethesensor.
2) Measurethedistancefromthebottomofthetank(emptylevel)tothebottom
ofthesensor.
a. Besuretoincludetheaddedheightofinstallationfittings.
3) Measurethedistancefromthebottomofthetank(emptylevel)tothefulllevelofliquid.
a. Takeintoaccountthedeadbandofthesensor.
4) Determinehowmanyrelaysyouwilluse
andwhateachoftheirfunctionswillbe.
a. Example:relaywillfillatankwithapumpandrelay2willprovideahighalarm.
5) Measure the distances from the bottom of the tank (empty level) to the positions for all of the relay
functions.
a. Pump and Valve functions will have typically have two set points, the level where the pump
turnsonandwhereitturnsofforthelevelwherethevalveopensandcloses.
HowtoentertheTOPLEVELMENU
1. Press and hold SELECT (approximately 5 seconds)
untilPROGisdisplayed.
2. The TOPLEVEL MENU items will rotate through
display.
3. UseSELECTtochooseaMENUitem.
HowtoexittheTOPLEVELMENU
InTOPLEVELMENU,pressSELECTwhenRUNappears.
HowtoconfigureUNITS
1. IntheTOPLEVELMENUmode,pressselectwhen
2. Press SELECT to choose between INCHES, CM
(centimeter),FEET,METERSorPERCENT.
3. SelectEXITtoreturntotheTOPLEVELMENU.
Note:ReadingthelevelofliquidinPercent
FlowlinerecommendsthatwhenselectingPERCENT,
configure the Height and Fill_H settings before
selectingPERCENTinorder to spanthe EchoSwitch®
foryour
applicationrequirements.
When in PERCENT, the operational span will be
based upon the last TANK settings, 100% will occur
attheFillHleveland0percentatthebottomofthe
tank.
When PERCENT is selected, the TANK settings
(HeightandFill_H)willbedisabled.

